For the third year in a row, we’re calling out “standard English” as the marker of intelligence and academic success. Language Equity in Academia: Reimagining kNowledge (LEARN) Conference, hosted by Glendale Community College and Las Positas College on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 9 am to 4:30 pm PST over Zoom. 

This conference is FREE and completely online! 

We’re excited to host interactive presentations, workshops, and a student panel — all focusing on various ways to bring language/linguistic equity to curricula across the disciplines and overall campus culture. 

We are thrilled to present our opening keynote: Sunn m’Cheaux — a Gullah teacha, prominent social media activist, and Harvard scholar!

This is a great opportunity for educators from all areas and those invested in campus equity to join us for a transformative conference dedicated to advancing social justice and language equity.
